Alien Caterpillar - Visual Design 14/15 (Session 2)

In our second session of Visual Design we had to paint an Alien Caterpillar in Photoshop with the linework already provided.

This was one of the first times I have painted in Photoshop. I am really happy with the results and I feel I learnt quite a lot in this session.

Here is the Alien after I added the base colours on a Multiply layer:-

After this I added the basic shadows, again on a Multiply layer:-

Lastly and most importantly I started to paid the rest of the Alien with all the different shades of colour. I only managed to get the head and some of the hammer finished in our session. Here it is:-
